Our privately owned AAHA veterinary hospital is searching for a full-time and a part-time veterinarian to join our staff. Fairport Animal Hospital is located in the Village of Fairport on the Erie Canal, which is an eastern suburb of Rochester, NY. Our patients are mainly dogs and cats, although one of the doctors also sees avian, exotic, pocket pets, and injured wildlife.
The hospital is equipped with computerized medical records, digital and dental X-ray Units, ultrasound, Tonopen, CO2 surgical laser, an in-house Idexx Lab, and a dental station. Each doctor has five days of Continuing Education Time and $1500.00 CE allowance.
We want to balance your personal and professional life. The hospital closes at 6:00 PM weekdays and at noon on Saturdays. Doctors work alternate Saturdays and have one day off during the week. Three weeks of paid vacation are provided. In addition to vacation and continuing education, the hospital provides medical insurance, malpractice insurance, AVMA state and local dues, and a 401-K Plan.
The Rochester Area is known for its quality schools and universities. There are numerous concerts, festivals, and theatrical productions throughout the year. Being close to Lake Ontario, the Finger Lakes, and the Adirondacks there is ample opportunity for outdoor activities throughout the year.
